But, fortunately I got 100% of it back with interest after I threatened to send a copy of a demand letter to his parents, his wife’s parents, his brother’s law firm, IMG and everyone I could think of to put heat on his cheating ass.”

We just want to warn the world… maybe this post will save you a lot of money. I sure wish someone had done this for us before…
In June of 2008 we were convinced to give this man, Christopher P. Harney of Bangkok Thailand the sum of $138,000 to be invested in a unique coal to liquid gas project in Indonesia. We were told that the total output of this project was guaranteed to be purchased by Pertamina Oil company of Indonesia at world diesel prices for a period not less than 10 years. By all calculations, we would be swimming in money.
Well you know what they say, when it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
We were rushed to pay as he was sure the other investors would be coming into close the deal “any day now”. So we paid this guy and his wife, Michelle Harney in trade for shares in a company registered in Mauritius. But we didn’t recieve the shares… ostensibly so he could calculate our investment in the larger company deal, formed when the bigger investors of several billion dollars came in…. which would be “any day now”. So we waited, and the promises kept coming, but they became increasingly lame as nothing was happening… for months. He eventually stopped picking up our phone calls. At one point he told us directly that he would return the money to us THAT DAY. Of course, nothing of the sort happened. When confronted, he denied ever having said it, saying that he would only refund the money when a replacement investor came in. Of course the replacement investor never came and Chris Harney stopped answering all questions period.
As it turns out, a company check in Mauritius shows that Accelon-Asia doesn’t even EXIST.
Now we are dedicated to complicating his life to the point that it makes it impossible for con artist Chris Harney to scam anyone else again. Hopefully you reading this are more savvy than we were. Lesson for you: if you do any kind of investment- do a full and complete background check first, even if they are charming.
